THURSDAY

-2:40 a.m.: criminal damaging. An exterior window of an apartment at the Mystic Apartments complex on East Court Street was reported damaged. The damage is set at $200.

WEDNESDAY

11:22 p.m.: warrant. James Ora Barker, 36, of Bellefontaine, was arrested on a warrant.

-12:35 p.m.: telephone harassment. A warrant was issued after police investigated a telephone harassment report.

-12:34 p.m.: theft. The theft of an air intake cover was reported stolen from a gray 2006 Chevrolet truck in the 500 block of East Court Street. The intake cover is valued at $25.

-11:06 a.m.: identity theft. An identity theft was reported to the police.

TUESDAY

-11:23 p.m.: criminal damaging. The front door at a property in the 200 block of Dayton Avenue was reported to have been kicked-in.

Dec. 24

-2:45 p.m.: theft — without consent. Joseph A. Engle, 57, of Sidney, was arrested on theft — without consent charges after a theft of a trio folding knife, valued at $22, was reported at Menards on Lester Avenue.

Crashes

Sergio Omar Velazquez Herreion, 36, of Troy, was cited with assured clear distance ahead after a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday at 11:29 a.m.

Velazquez Herreion was traveling westbound on state Route 47 in slowing traffic toward the light at Vandemark Road when he failed to stop and hit the rear of the vehicle in front of him that was driven by Donna Marlow, 59, of Sidney.

• Robert E. Sims, 56, of Quincy, was cited with operation of vehicle at stop after a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday at 7:10 a.m.

Sims was facing the west on Campbell Road at Kuther Road when he failed to see and pulled into the path of the vehicle driven by Matthew K. Barancin, 51, of Hagerstown, Indiana, that was turning eastbound onto Campbell Road from Kuther Road, striking it on the front driver’s side.
