MCCARTYVILLE — On Jan. 24 the McCartyville Producers 4-H Club held their first meeting of the year in person and online. Everyone took protocols due to COVID.

During the first meeting, we voted for new officers. They voted Aubrey Hoying for president, Carly Koverman for vice president, Izzy Jenkins for secretary, Emma Brunson for treasurer, Grant Albers for news reporter, Lexi Koverman for health and safety officers, Jenna Wolters for Community Service, and also Makayla Brunson for recreation.

There are about 100 people in our club counting clover buds. There is still time to join if you are interested in doing 4-H. By-laws were reviewed, the enrollment process explained; new members were welcomed, reviewed events to take place this year: possible guest speakers; community service; and fundraisers.

Everyone already received in the mail, the 2021 Family Guide to assist with selecting their 4-H projects for Shelby County Fair 2021. The members also received their Certificate Of Achievement, which recognizes their years in 4-H.

The next meeting is on February 28.
