SIDNEY – Two men were indicted Feb. 18 by the Shelby County grand jury on charges of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor and pandering obscenity involving a minor.
Bradley A. Stangel, 30, at large, was indicted on 20 charges of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor, each a second degree felony. Stangel is accused of reproducing material showing minors participating or engaging in sexual activity from May 2, 2019, to Jan. 2, 2020.
Kenneth D. Marker, 25, of Minster, was indicted on 19 charges of pandering obscenity involving a minor, each a fourth degree felony. Marker is accused of downloading and possessing obscene material involving minors on Feb. 3.
Other indictments included:
• Devon Parsley, 18, of Sidney, was indicted on a charge of aggravated vehicular assault, a third degree felony. Parsley is accused of driving a vehicle on St. Marys Avenue in Sidney on Dec. 3, 2020, that he lost control of, crossed the center line and caused serious physical harm to a pedestrian while under the influence of drugs.
• Dustin R. Thomas, 35, of Jackson Center, was indicted on four charges of having weapons while under disability, each a third degree felony. Thomas, who previously was convicted of aggravated possession of drugs, reportedly possessed a Ruger SR9 9mm handgun, a Walther PPS .40 caliber handgun, a SCCY CPX-2 9mm handgun and a Butler .22 caliber short handgun on Feb. 3.
• Ashley Ann Thomas, 34, of Jackson Center, was indicted on four charges of having weapons while under disability, each a third degree felony. Thomas, who previously was convicted of aggravated trafficking in drugs, reportedly possessed a Ruger SR9 9mm handgun, a Walther PPS .40 caliber handgun, a SCCY CPX-2 9mm handgun and a Butler .22 caliber short handgun on Feb. 3.
• Xavier J. Foy, 31, of Sidney, was indicted on charges of improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, a fourth degree felony, and having weapons while under disability, a third degree felony. Foy is accused of having a loaded shotgun under the driver’s seat while in a motor vehicle and possessing a loaded handgun while under disability, having previously been convicted of robbery, on Jan. 31.
• Danial Bancroft, 54, at large, was indicted on charges of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony, tampering with evidence, a third degree felony, and possessing criminal tools, a fifth degree felony. Bancroft is accused of possessing methamphetamine, hiding a meth pipe in the rear of a cruiser to impair its availability as evidence and possessing a meth pipe on Jan. 20.
• Kathryn Ballantine, 38, of Sidney, was indicted on charges of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony, tampering with evidence, a third degree felony, and possessing criminal tools, a fifth degree felony. Ballantine is accused of possessing methamphetamine, hiding a meth pipe in the rear of a cruiser to impair its availability as evidence and possessing a meth pipe on Jan. 20.
• Lori Maggard, 35, of Dayton, was indicted on a charge of aggravated possession of drugs and possessing criminal tools, both fifth degree felonies. Maggard is accused of possessing methamphetamine and a meth pipe on July 14, 2020.
• Kimberley L. Hicks, 31, of Sidney, was indicted on a charge of possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony. Hicks is accused of possessing heroin on Dec. 18, 2020.
• Laron Ray Banks, Jr., 31, of Southfield, Michigan, was indicted on charges of identity fraud, a fifth degree felony, and counterfeiting, a fourth degree felony. Banks is accused of possessing a fraudulent Ohio license in the name of Austin Ray White and two fraudulent credit cards in the name of Austin White and Tyler Wilson and also possessing a skimmer device on Feb. 8.
• Roger N. Puckett, 41, at large, was indicted on a charge of failure to provide a change of address, a fourth degree felony. Puckett is accused of failing to notify the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office of a change of address, having previously been convicted of importuning.
• Robert White, 39, at large, was indicted on a charge of failure to appear, a fourth degree felony. White is accused of failing to report to a sentencing hearing in the Shelby County Common Pleas Court on Feb. 2, after having been released on his own recognizance on May 21, 2020.
• Seth Mahoney, 18, at large, was indicted on a charge of failure to appear, a fourth degree felony. Mahoney is accused of failing to report to a status conference in the Shelby County Common Pleas Court on Feb. 8, after having been released on his own recognizance on Dec. 14, 2020.
• Rebecca Bowling, 52, at large, was indicted on a charge of failure to appear, a fourth degree felony. Bowling is accused of failing to report to a status conference in the Shelby County Common Pleas Court on Feb. 8, after having been released on her own recognizance on Nov. 20, 2020.
• Angela Brock, 35, at large, was indicted on a charge of failure to appear, a fourth degree felony. Brock is accused of failing to report to a status conference in the Shelby County Common Pleas Court on Jan. 28, after having been released on her own recognizance on Nov. 2, 2020.
