HOUSTON — A blood drive and a plasma drive will be held in the community the week of March 8.

Houston Community Association will host a community blood drive Monday, March 8, from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Houston Community Center, 5005 Russia-Houston Road, Houston.

Wilson Health will host a COVID-19 Convalescent Plasma drive Tuesday, March 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Wilson Health Professional Building, 915 W. Michigan St., Sidney. The plasma drive is only open to qualified donors eligible to give COVID-19 Convalescent Plasma (CCP) for the treatment of seriously ill coronavirus patients. CCP donors who have received the COVID-19 vaccine may be eligible to continue donating CCP. To confirm eligibility, email [email protected] or call 937-461-3220.

Donors are required to provide a photo ID that includes their full name. Past CBC donors also are asked to bring their CBC donor ID card.

Donors must be at least 17 years of age, or 16 years old with parental consent, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good physical health. The Food and Drug Administration changes blood donor eligibility guidelines periodically.
