Crashes

Sierra Gail Grieves, 23, of Sidney, was traveling westbound on East Water Street and entered the intersection at South Main Avenue. Cassada, who was traveling eastbound on East Water Street, attempted to turn left onto South Main Avenue in front of Grieves, causing Grieves to strike Cassada.

While on the scene of the crash, police smelled marijuana coming from Cassada’s vehicle, and when questioned about the smell, Cassada handed over a roach. Police did not suspect that Cassada was impaired or under the influence of marijuana and destroyed the roach at the police department.

• Lindsey Foster, 32, of Kenton, was cited with assured clear distance after a two-vehicle crash on Saturday at 12:48 p.m.

Howard Snyder, 61, of Piqua, was traveling westbound on Michigan Street and Foster was behind him. Snyder slowed down for traffic when Foster failed to stop and rear-ended Snyder.

• No one was cited after a two-vehicle crash on Friday at 5:43 p.m.

David C. Strelow, 56, of Sidney, was in the drive-thru lane at Wendy’s on Michigan Street and a black BMW driven by an unknown driver was behind him. The driver rear-ended Strelow and they both drove to the rear of the lot. The unknown driver said it was his fault and then drove away.
