Mabes sentenced to six years in prison

SIDNEY — The Shelby County Common Pleas Court recently handed down several sentences for sexual battery, drug trafficking and possession and grand theft auto.

Derrick L. Mabes, 40, of Sidney, was sentenced to six years in prison with one day of jail credit and five years of mandatory post-release control for two charges of sexual battery, second-degree felonies, making him a Tier-III sex offender. Mabes was indicted on six charges of rape, first-degree felonies, for engaging in sexual intercourse and conduct with female children. Four charges were dismissed.

Amanda J. Koehler, 42, of Houston, was sentenced to five years of community control with no days of jail credit and she must successfully complete treatment at WORTH or another CBCF for two charges of trafficking in drugs, fourth-degree felonies. Koehler was indicted on four charges of aggravated trafficking in drugs, third-degree felonies, for knowingly selling or offering to sell methamphetamine and Synthetic Cannabinoid Pharmacaphore in the vicinity of a school, but two charges were dismissed.

Erin J. Floyd, 37, of St. Paris, was sentenced to five years of community control with 12 days of jail credit and successful completion of treatment at WORTH or another CBCF for grand theft auto, a fourth-degree felony. Floyd was indicted on robbery, a second-degree felony, for punching an adult female victim in the shoulder and pushing her out of the driver’s seat of her vehicle, then taking the keys and fleeing with the vehicle.

Cody A. Chrisman, 24, of Sidney, was sentenced to 11 months in prison with no days of jail credit for two charges of trafficking in drugs, fifth-degree felonies. Chrisman was indicted on four charges of drug trafficking, fourth and fifth-degree felonies, for knowingly selling or offering to sell marijuana over a one-month period, but two charges were dismissed.

Crystal D. Marlow, 45, of Sidney, was sentenced to 30 months in prison with no days of jail credit and discretionary post-release control of up to two years for aggravated trafficking in drugs, a third-degree felony. Marlow was indicted on three charges of aggravated trafficking in drugs, third and fourth-degree felonies, for knowingly selling or offering to sell methamphetamine over a one-month period, but two charges were dismissed. In a separate case, Marlow was sentenced to six months in prison, which she will serve after the first sentencing, for failure to appear, a fourth-degree felony. Marlow was indicted on the same charge for failing to report to a status conference in the Shelby County Common Pleas Court.

Lindsey R. Tillman, 29, of Sidney, was sentenced to five years of community control with no days of jail credit, successful completion of drug and alcohol counseling, and she must pay a fine of $200 for the aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Tillman was indicted on the same charge and possessing criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony, for having methamphetamine and a bag, pipe and bowl to store and abuse the drug. The criminal tools charge was dismissed.

Teresa K. Salyer, 46, of Jackson, Kentucky, was sentenced to nine months in prison with 80 days of jail credit and discretionary post-release control of up to two years for the aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Salyer was indicted on the same charge and possessing criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony, for having methamphetamine and a bag, pipe, cut straws, and syringe for storing and abusing the drug. The criminal tools charge was dismissed.
