Shamrock Shake, McFlurry purchases support Ronald McDonald Houses

SIDNEY – Starting Feb. 20, the legendary Shamrock Shake and new fan-favorite OREO Shamrock McFlurry are making their much-anticipated return to Ohio menus. This year, customers who buy one will get more than just these seasonal favorites, they’ll also get to help families with sick children. Sidney McDonalds will have the items on their menu.

Made with our creamy vanilla soft serve, blended with Shamrock Shake syrup and topped with a delicious, whipped topping, the Shamrock Shake quickly captured the hearts (and taste buds) of America when it was first introduced in 1970. And for a twist on this delicious classic, check out the OREO Shamrock McFlurry, which first debuted in 2020 and comes blended with crushed OREO cookies. Both minty treats will be available at participating restaurants nationwide for a limited time, while supplies last.

Honoring the legacy of Shamrock Shake’s integral role in the building of the first Ronald McDonald House, McDonald’s in Ohio will donate 25 cents from every Shamrock Shake sold from February 20 to March 19 to Ronald McDonald House Charities across the state. The four RMHC chapters in Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton, and Toledo provide care, comfort and support to families, allowing them to heal together while their child receives medical care. Included in these efforts are the Ronald McDonald Houses which provide families a place to stay while their child receives care at a nearby medical facility.
