BOTKINS — Buckeye Electrical Products, located in Botkins, has again experienced growth in 2022. Buckeye Electrical specializes in manufacturing custom electrical assemblies for various applications and customers.

“Our products are utilized in fields such as commercial, entertainment, medical, recreational, and military. These products can range from wire harnesses and custom box builds to coils and battery cables,” said President Kevin Platfoot.

The previous year held a little bit of everything, which made it a unique year. At the beginning of the year, we were still dealing with material shortages and other supply chain issues. Even as the availability issues began to subside, we faced surging costs for seemingly everything across the board. Through it all, we did everything within our power to hold our prices as consistent as possible for our customers. Despite the inflation and other challenges that made 2022 feel like a fast-moving target, we were able to overcome those trials and create another year of solid growth.

Buckeye Electrical is excited to announce that it has finalized the most recent addition to its manufacturing facility. In early fall, Buckeye Electrical officially began operations in its new 12,000-square-foot addition, which brought the facility total to 42,000 square feet. The newest addition will be used primarily for shipping and receiving, as well as warehousing, and will allow Buckeye Electrical to sustain current and future growth in the coming years. Special thanks to the Village of Botkins, Ferguson Construction, and all of the subcontractors that helped make our vision a reality.

We are optimistic about our ability to grow again in 2023. With that growth comes additional opportunities for employment. Our clean, quiet, and comfortable facility, as well as our schedule flexibility and family-business mentality, makes our company a great alternative for those not wanting to or not able to work in a typical factory setting. Over 50% of our associates have a relative or an immediate family member that also works at Buckeye, and we take no greater compliment regarding our work environment than our associates inviting their loved ones to work with them.
