RUSSIA — Employee dedication is paying off in big ways for the industry’s leading manufacturer of aluminum railing, columns and fence, Superior Aluminum Products of Russia. Sales grew 30% in 2022 on top of an average of 20% growth the previous two years, despite economic and supply conditions that continued to bring multiple challenges their way. Superior’s ability to deliver high-quality products on time is what drives the company’s cutting edge, and Company President Doug Borchers attributes that to the efforts of the team.

“I’m unbelievably grateful for the efforts of the entire Superior team during the year, each of whom has remained steadfast in their commitments to our customers by working through all the trials we’ve had to get it done. They live “The Superior Way” each day by always doing the right thing, treating others with dignity and respect, making good decisions together, exhibiting commitment and enacting positive change, and ultimately serving a higher purpose.”

Borchers’ report continues

A look back at 2022 reveals the launch of Superior’s new patented product, Snap-Tite PVC column wraps for residential porches and commercial building frontages. Snap-Tite is the industry’s first PVC column wrap that does not require any adhesive to install, and has received rave reviews from many early adopters. This revolutionary product has proven to save contractors over 30 minutes per column on the job-site, and is just another example of the many ways that Superior remains committed to continuous improvement.

2022 also brought a re-structuring of the leadership team at Superior, with the elevation of Ryan Nichols to vice president of sales, Matt Purpus to vice president of operations, and Renee Gephart to office manager, as well as the addition of 10 new positions to support the company’s growth.

Another achievement of 2022 for Superior Aluminum Products included growing their annual United Way contribution for the 7th year in a row, an increase of 14% over the record-setting 2021, setting a new all-time high for Superior. Superior is proud to employ a workforce that is dedicated to our community!

Looking forward into the new year, the team at Superior is excited to face many new opportunities and challenges as they navigate the necessity of an upcoming expansion plan. The decision to expand their facility at home in Russia, Ohio is currently being weighed with the possibility of opening a satellite plant in the south. The team is happy to be part of such an exciting time in the company’s history.

Also coming in 2023 is the expansion of Superior’s railing product line to include both a glass and a mesh railing system. These new high-end systems will grow the company’s product line for both single and multi-family construction projects, and continue to push them toward their vision of being the preferred partner in architectural building materials, supplying Superior products & extraordinary service to the construction industry’s most respected companies. The Superior team is also looking forward to the 2023 launch of pre-made boxed railing kits, which will provide another convenient option for distributors to stock and end consumers to utilize when railing is needed right away for a project. We’re heading into the new year with our largest backlog ever, and things are shaping up to be another good year.
