ANNA — The village of Anna has a new administrator.

At a special meeting held on May 4, 2023, Anna Village Council unanimously selected William Kessler as the village’s next administrator. Kessler, of Arcanum, has a strong background in municipal government, serving most recently for six years as administrator for the village of Arcanum in Darke County. He also has experience as a small business owner in the information technology and wireless field.

Mayor Mark Pulfer said, “We are excited have Bill join the village’s leadership team. His previous municipal government experience will be an asset to the Village as we work to improve our infrastructure and streets.” During Kessler’s tenure in Arcanum, he was instrumental in acquiring over $6 million in grants and provided oversight of the construction of new water treatment and police facilities.

Kessler was selected from 34 applicants. Pulfer said Kessler will begin his duties on May 15. He will be pai $72,000 per year. He plans to move to Anna in the future.
