FRIDAY

-8:18 p.m.: warrant. Destiny Starr Christine Ostermyer, 26, of Sidney, was arrested on a warrant.

-8:12 p.m.: crash. Police responded to a crash at mile marker 93 on Interstate 75.

-7:39 p.m.: suspicious subject or vehicle. Police responded to a suspicious subject or vehicle in the 500 block of Linden Avenue.

-6:16 p.m.: theft. Police responded to a theft in progress in the 400 block of North Lester Avenue.

-3:26 p.m.: suspicious subject or vehicle. Police responded to a suspicious subject or vehicle in the 2000 block of Michigan Street.

-6:31 a.m.: crash. Police responded to a crash with injuries in the area of Fair Road and South Vandemark Road.

Crashes

Cora M. Heintz, 87, of Jackson Center, was cited with disobedience to traffic control devices after a two-vehicle crash on May 14 at 7:04 p.m.

Heintz was traveling northbound on County Road 25A approaching the intersection of West Hoewisher Road. Ralph Inderriedn, 86, of Sidney, was traveling eastbound on West Hoewisher Road approaching the intersection. Heintz ran through a red light while Inderriedn was in the intersection, causing a collision. Heintz’s vehicle was towed by Wrecker’s Towing and Inderriedn’s vehicle was towed by Mantor’s Towing.

• Kaleb M. Hecht, 19, of Sidney, was cited with failure to control/weaving after a one-vehicle crash on May 14 at 12:40 p.m.

Hecht was traveling westbound on Fair Road when he traveled off the right side of the roadway and lost control. Then he traveled across Fair Road onto Fairington Drive and went through multiple parking lots and grass areas off of Fairington Drive before striking a tree. He then exited onto Fairington Drive and left the scene. The vehicle was towed by Mantor’s Towing after it eventually became disabled from the crash and Hecht was arrested for felonious assault for trying to hit police officers with the vehicle.

• Michael B. Wallace, 15, of Sidney, was cited with operation without reasonable control after a two-vehicle crash on May 13 at 5:16 p.m.

Brittany M. Richardson, 30, of North Hampton, was traveling westbound on Campbell Road when Wallace came out of an alley on a bike traveling northbound and struck Richardson.

• John M. Huddleston, 47, of Lewistown, was cited with disobedience to traffic control devices after a two-vehicle crash on May 12 at 6:31 a.m.

Huddleston was traveling westbound on Fair Road approaching the intersection of Vandemark Road. Jenell L. Hartley, 53, of Piqua, was traveling northbound on Vandemark Road approaching the intersection. Huddleston ran through a red light and entered the intersection at the same time as Hartley, causing a collision.

Huddleston’s vehicle was towed by Mantor’s Towing and Hartley’s vehicle was towed by Elmer’s Towing. Huddleston was taken by Sidney EMS to Wilson Health with possible injuries and Hartley was taken by Sidney EMS to Wilson Health with suspected minor injuries.
