HOUSTON — Anna’s boys earned a Shelby County Athletic League track and field title on Friday in Houston, as did Fort Loramie’s girls.
The Rockets finished first in boys standings with 150.75 points, 17 ahead of second-place Fort Loramie. Botkins finished third, Jackson Center finished fourth, Russia finished fifth, Fairlawn finished sixth and Houston finished seventh.
The Redskins finished first in girls standings with 154.5 points, about 37 ahead of second-place Botkins. Anna finished third, Fairlawn finished fourth, Houston finished fifth, Russia finished sixth and Jackson Center finished seventh.
Anna’s Justin Richards finished first in the boys 100-meter dash in 11.17 and first in the 200 dash in 22.82. Fort Loramie’s Frank Rethman finished first in the 400 dash in 51.30.
Jackson Center’s Kellen Reichert finished first in the 800-meter run in 2:03, first in the 1,600 run in 4:30 and first in the 3,200 run in 9:39.
Jackson Center’s Lucas Hartle finished first in the 110 hurdles in 16.14 and first in the 300 hurdles in 43.03.
Anna finished first in the 4×100 relay in 44.93 and first in the 4×200 relay in 1:34. Fort Loramie finished first in the 4×400 relay in 3:34.
Fairlawn’s Trey Sparks finished first in high jump by clearing 6-0. Botkins’ Colton Pleiman finished first in shot put with a throw of 43-11.50.
Fairlawn’s Addison Swearingen finished first in girls 100-meter dash in 12.60, first in the 200 dash in 26.52 and first in the 400 dash in 59.41.
Fort Loramie’s Mylee Shatto finished first in the 800-meter run in 2:24.
Botkins’ Brittany Arnold finished first in the 1,600 run in 5:14.49, just ahead of teammate Alaina Mann, who finished second in 5:14.52. Mann finished first in the 3,200 run in 11:16, four seconds ahead of Arnold, who finished second.
Fort Loramie’s Ariel Heitkamp finished first in the 100 hurdles in 16.35 and first in the 300 hurdles in 49.13.
Fort Loramie finished first in the 4×100 relay in 51.55, first in the 4×200 relay in 1:48 and first in the 4×400 relay in 4:11.
Anna’s Abbie McEldowney finished first in long jump with a leap of 15-8.5. Houston’s Emilee Earl finished first in pole vault by clearing 9-6. Botkins’ Jana Metz finished first in discus with a throw of 116-0.
Lehman Catholic, Riverside compete in TRC meet
The Three Rivers Conference meet finished Saturday at Northridge High School.
Lehman Catholics’ boys finished sixth while Riverside finished seventh.
Lehman’s Donovan O’Leary finished second in the 110-meter hurdles in 17.32 and second I the 300 hurdles in 43.43. The 4×400 relay finished third in 3:52. Brennan Potts finished third in high jump by clearing 5-8. Jace Olding finished third in discus with a throw of 131-11.
Riverside’s Travis Brooks finished first in shot put with a throw of 46-9. Ayden Clary finished second in discus with a throw of 136-8. Carter Kreglow finished third in pole vault by clearing 10-6.
Lehman Catholic’s girls finished fourth while Riverside tied for seventh.
Lehman’s Katie McFarland finished first in the 100 dash in 12.92. Caroline Wesner finished second in the 200 dash in 27.15 and first in the 400 dash in 1:01. Mara O’Leary finished third in the 100 hurdles in 17.72 and second in the 300 hurdles in 50.72.
Wesner finished first in long jump with a leap of 16-5. McFarland finished first in pole vault by clearing 11-6.
Riverside’s 4×200 relay finished third in 1:58.
