During the month of August, the Minster Bank team proudly supported Generations of Love through the bank’s ongoing Casual for a Cause program. Employees swapped out their business attire for jeans and casual wear in exchange for donations to a local nonprofit making a significant impact on our community.
Generations of Love, founded by Paige Fiebelkorn, provides vital support to foster, kinship, and adoptive families, as well as children and at-risk youth throughout Auglaize County. The nonprofit recently moved into its new location in downtown Wapakoneta, where they continue to address critical gaps in the region’s caregiver resources.
The organization focuses on offering respite care, a crucial service that allows caregivers a much-needed break, which is hard to come by locally and even across the state. Additionally, Generations of Love is creating a safe haven for youth, offering after-school and summer programs, mental health counseling, and creative outlets such as music and art therapy.
By partnering with nonprofits like Generations of Love, Minster Bank is committed to strengthening the communities it serves. The funds raised through Casual for a Cause will help further the mission of providing essential services to families and children who need them the most.
Kara Timmerman, Minster Bank operations team member, nominated the non-profit after finding their cause on Facebook. “Children and families in need can often be overlooked. Generations of Love is doing incredible work for the most vulnerable members of our community, and I’m happy contribute to their mission.”
As Minster Bank continues to celebrate its 110th anniversary this year, giving back to the community remains at the heart of its mission. Whether it’s through donations or volunteer efforts, the bank strives to make a difference close to home.
