Tipp fire chief answers call for 100th blood donation
DAYTON – Tipp City Fire Chief Cameron Haller answered the call again to help save lives by donating platelets for his milestone 100th lifetime donation March 28 at the Solvita Dayton Center.

DeWine activates Ohio Emergency Operations Center in advance of eclipse
COLUMBUS — Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine announced he is activating the Ohio Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to support local communities before, during, and after Monday’s solar eclipse, which could draw hundreds of thousands of visitors to Ohio.
Republican Party Central Committee elects leaders
SIDNEY — The Shelby County Republican Party Central Committee met April 4, 2024, to elect a new leadership team following the March 19 Primary Election. Ohio Revised Code, and Secretary of State guidance, dictate the operation of Political Party Central Committees in all 88 counties of the state.
Health Department schedules clean up day
SIDNEY — The Sidney-Shelby County Health Department has scheduled two clean-up day sites for Saturday, April 13. The community effort is being organized by the Health Department in partnership with township officials. Solid waste containers will be made available by funds from the Health Department, Shelby County Township Trustees and the North Central Ohio Solid Waste District.
