Stockmans mark golden year

FORT LORAMIE — Jan and Leon Stockman, of Fort Loramie, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, April 22, 2018, at the Newport Sportsmen Club at a meal for invited guests and an open house from 2 to 5 p.m.

Leon and the former Janice Hoehne were married, April 20, 1968, by the Rev. Paul S. Ratterman in Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Newport.

They have a living daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Robert L. Siegel, of Fort Loramie, and a son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Melanie Stockman, of Ostrander. Two other daughters, Jill and Lynn, are deceased. They have 11 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

The former postmaster of Houston Post Office, Jan retired in 2000. Leon was the maintenance manager/safety/environmental when he retired from Marwil Products in 2006.

Leon enjoys volunteering for the Fish Thrift Store in Sidney. Jan enjoys participating in ministries at St. Michael’s Church in Fort Loramie and helping with the local blood drives. They both enjoy spending time with their grandchildren.
