Pleimans celebrate golden date

SIDNEY — Donna and Thomas Pleiman, of Sidney, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a summer trip to Hilton Head with their family.

Thomas and the former Donna Dirksen were married May 18, 1968, in the St. Nicholas Church in Osgood. The Rev. Bernard Srode performed the ceremony on a warm and sunny day. Witnesses were maid of honor Deborah (Pleiman) Bruns, best man David Dirksen, altar server Bernard Dirksen, Mary (Westergedes) Weigel, Mary Lou (Kill) Paxton, Anne (Dirksen) Hamilton, Bob Pleiman, Roger Heitkamp, Dan Pleiman and Jerry Plafoot.

Thomas is the son of the late Marcella and Leonard Pleiman.

Donna is the daughter of the late Marie and Joseph Dirksen.

The Pleimans are the parents of two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Jenny Pleiman, of McCartyville, and Craig and Brenda Pleiman, of Tipp City; and a daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Matt Boeckman, of Troy. They have nine grandchildren.

Donna, a graduate of St. Rita School of Nursing, retired as a registered nurse from Sidney Medical Group.

Thomas retired as an accountant from Ferguson Construction Co.

They attend Holy Angels Church, where Donna is a eucharistic minister. They enjoy a card club and spending time with their friends, grandchildren and family.
