SIDNEY — Nancy and J. Edward Morgan, of Sidney, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a party hosted by their family, Aug. 5, 2018, at the Oak Club at Shelby Oaks Golf Course in Sidney.
Ed and the former Nancy Strabele were married Aug. 3, 1968, in the Methodist Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Rev. A.G. Ritchie performed the ceremony on a pleasant day. Witnesses were bridesmaid Barbara Morgan, sister of the bride, and best man Ron Heilman. Following the ceremony, family and friends enjoyed dinner at a restaurant. The couple had been introduced to each other by friends.
Ed is the son of the late Carol and Jack Morgan. He has a sister, Barbara Barnhart, of Columbus.
Nancy is the daughter of the late Dorothy and Karl Strabele.
The Morgans have two sons, Kellen Shawn and Nicholas Allen, both of Kendallville, Indiana, and a daughter, Katrina Lynn, of Sidney. They have two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Nancy retired as a real estate agent in 2002. Ed is self-employed in sales.
Ed enjoys playing golf. Nancy enjoys growing flowers and showing them at the county fair, cooking and entering the Sidney Daily News cooking contest.
