Millers to celebrate golden date

SIDNEY — Kay and Ed Miller, of Sidney, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at a reception, hosted by their children, Dec. 22, 2018, in the First Presbyterian Church in Sidney, from 2 to 4 p.m.

They request that gifts be omitted.

Ed and the former Kay Bethel were married, Dec. 21, 1968, in the St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Port Clinton. The Rev. Harry Holzapfel performed the service.

The Millers have a daughter, Jennifer Francis, of Cincinnati, and a son, William Miller, of Columbus. They have two grandchildren.

Kay and Ed are both 1968 graduates of Capital University in Columbus.

Ed had a 42-year career in education and retired from Sidney City Schools. Kay was an elementary school teacher for 39 years and retired from Botkins Local School.

They enjoy long walks, sporting events, vacationing in Canada with their family and traveling.
