SIDNEY — JoAnne and Larry Hall, of Sidney, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, March 19, 2016.

Larry and the former JoAnne Young were married March 19, 1966, at 2:30 p.m., in the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sidney. The Rev. H.W. Swinehart performed the ceremony on a cool but sunny day. Witnesses were maid of honor Sue Young, sister of the bride, Marilyn Hall, sister of the bridegroom, Janie Lingrell, best man Jim Michael, John Amos and Gary Van Fossen. The couple had met in church.

Larry is the son of the late Vera and Louis Hall. He has a sister, Marilyn Hall Jacobson, of Chalfont, Pennsylvania, and a brother, Robert Hall, of Elk Point, South Dakota.

Jo is the daughter of the late Elaine and Web Young. Her sister, Sue Young McDonald, is deceased.

The Halls have two sons and a daughter-in-law, Craig and Tracy Hall, of Sidney, and David Hall, of Lebanon, and a daughter and son-in law, Julie and Tony Kies, of Houston. They have six grandchildren.

Jo retired in 1999 from Monnier & Co. CPAs. Larry retired from dairy farming in 2012.

The couple are lifetime members of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sidney. They enjoy their summer cottage in Michigan, boating, attending their grandchildren’s activities, and spending time with friends and family.
