SIDNEY — Shirley Diane and Joseph “Jody” Allen Jr., of Sidney, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on a family trip to Florida with their family this summer and at an open house, hosted by their children, March 25, 2016, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., in the Sidney Days Inn.
They request that gifts be omitted.
Jody and the former Diane Echols were married March 25, 1966, in Sidney.
Jody is the son of the late Linda and Joseph Allen. Diane is the daughter of Grace Echols, of Sidney, and the late John Echols.
The Allens are the parents of two daughters and sons-in-law, Shirl and Jeff Saylor and Julie and Steve White; and a son and daughter-in-law, Joe Eddy and Linda Allen, all of Sidney. They have seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Jody retired from the Copeland Corp. and Diane retired as a registered nurse from Wilson Memorial Hospital, now Wilson Health.
They attend the Northtowne Church of God and enjoy playing golf.
