SIDNEY — Bob and Elaine Echols, of Sidney, will celebrate 50 years of marriage on April 28, 2022.

Bob and Elaine were surprised this past Sunday, April 24, with a celebration hosted by their children and their spouses. Many friends and family were in attendance.

Bob and the former Elaine Kinniger were married April 28, 1972 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster.

The couple are the parents of Nicole and J.R. Cromes, of Piqua; Michael and Chanda Echols, of Wapakoneta; Mark and Jennifer Echols, of Anna; and Matt and Rachel Echols, of Sidney. They are the grandparents of 10 grandchildren: Sarann, Brittany, Mackenzie, Taylor, Riley, Kyler, Emma, Logan, Cooper and Tucker. They have a grat-grandaughter, Hazzel.

Elaine is the daughter of the late Gustwin and Loretta Kinninger, of Minster.

Bob is the son of Grace and the late John Echols, of Sidney.

The couple enjoys seeing their grandkids participating in each of their activities. Boating is a hobby they continue to do with their 1989 Ranger bass boat they purchased new. They also enjoy visiting Holmes County with family and friends.

Bob retired from Dana Corporation several years ago and Elaine recently retired from Ohio Living in Sidney.
