Kirtleys note golden date

LAKEVIEW — Charlene and Richard Kirtley, of Lakeview, formerly of Pemberton, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, April 23, 2016, at a 5:30 p.m. Mass in Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney.

Richard and the former Charlene Crist were married April 23, 1966, at 10:30 a.m., in the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney. Monsignor Edward Lehman performed the ceremony. Witnesses were maid of honor Roberta Crist Sherman, sister of the bride, best man Robert Kirtley, brother of the bridegroom, bridesmaids Margret Drees McDonald and Janie Eshman Antrobus, groomsmen Charles Jaques and Wayne Watercutter, flower girl Theresa Elliot, cousin of the bride, and ring bearer Tim Elliot, cousin of the bride.

Richard is the son of the late Pauline and Earl Kirtley. He has a living brother and sister-in-law, John and Kathy Kirtley, of Maplewood. Another brother, Robert Kirtley, and a sister, Elizabeth Bruggman, are deceased.

Charlene is the daughter of the late Loretta and Robert Crist. She has a sister and brother-in-law, Roberta and Donald Sherman, of Sidney.

The Kirtleys have a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Molly Kirtley Sr., of Sidney, and a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Darrell Gallagher, of Maplewood. They have four grandchildren and 12 living great-grandchildren. Another great-grandchild is deceased.

Richard retired from Alcoa Home Exteriors. Charlene retired after working at Alcoa Memory Products and BBI Enterprises.

They enjoy their family and friends, their home at the lake, boating, fishing and their dog, Kate.
