SIDNEY — Mary Jane and Joe Purtee, of Sidney, will celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary, June 12, 2016.
Joe and the former Mary Jane Pulfer were married June 12, 1961, in the United Methodist Church in Richmond, Indiana. The Rev. Hubanks performed the ceremony.
Joe is the son of the late Margaret and Lewis Purtee. Mary Jane is the daughter of the late Margaret and Roy Pulfer.
The Purtees have three sons and a daughter-in-law, Tony Purtee, of Georgia, Randy and Adina Purtee, of DeGraff, and Gale Purtee, of Sidney. They have five grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Joe retired from Crown Equipment in New Bremen. Mary Jane retired from Holloway Sportswear in Sidney.
They enjoy camping and fishing.
