Kimblers mark diamond date

PORT JEFFERSON — Mary and Danny Kimbler, of Port Jefferson, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary, Aug. 20, 2016, at a 1 p.m. open house luncheon in the Northtowne Church of God in Sidney.

Danny and the former Mary A. Cain were married Aug. 18, 1956, in London, Ohio.

Danny is the son of the late Rebecca and Eddie Kimbler. He has two sisters, Joyce Cates, of Findlay, and Juanita Jester, of Texas. Three brothers, Charles Kimbler, Donald Kimbler and Kenneth Kimbler, are deceased.

Mary is the daughter of the late Lona Casto and Roy Cain. She has three living brothers, Sam Cain, of Howell, Michigan, Charlie Cain, of Leon, West Virginia, and Lee Casto, of London; and two living sisters, Alice Bennett, of Bloomingburg, and Barbara Gray, of Maplewood. Two other brothers, Henry Cain and Bert Hess, and three sisters, May Lewis, Margarete Twohig and Earnestine DeVault, are deceased.

The Kimblers are the parents of three sons and two daughters-in-law, Mark Kimbler, and Aaron and Sheila Kimbler, all of Sidney, and Jefferson and Donna Kimbler, of Port Jefferson; and six daughters and five sons-in-law, Brenda and Doyle Stiver, Glenda Barrett and Mike Driscoll, and Carrie Nation, all of Sidney, Mary and Dean Snow, of Port Jefferson, Regina and Rick Phelps, of Pemberton, and Sherry and Jordon Beard, of Anna. They have 14 living and three deceased grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Danny retied from Copeland Corp.

He enjoys playing the guitar and banjo. Mary enjoys sewing and baking. They both enjoy spending time with each other and with their family.
