Egberts celebrate 60 years

NEW BREMEN — Marlene and Lawrence Egbert, of New Bremen, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary at an open house, May 21, 2017, from 2 to 5 p.m., in the New Bremen Senior Center.

Lawrence and the former Marlene Moeller were married Jan. 23, 1957, in the Holy Redeemer Church in New Bremen. The Rev. Bernard Felix performed the ceremony. Witnesses were Nancy (Larger) Meyer, Bonnie (Larger) Schmiesing, Roland Kettler and Marvin Moeller.

Lawrence is the son of the late Roscoe and Lillian (Bushman) Egbert. He has a living brother and sister-in-law, Dave and Judy Egbert, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and two living sisters, Norma Jean Mumaw, of Versailles, and Janet Kuck, of Quincy. Two other brothers and another sister are deceased.

Marlene is the daughter of the late Elton and Freda (Larger) Moeller. She has three brothers and sisters-in-law, Marvin and Jeannette Moeller and Mark and Katie Moeller, all of New Bremen, and Mardean and Carole Moeller, of Anna; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Ann and Steve Voisard, of Port Clinton, and Marcia and Charles Jones, of Greenville.

The Egberts have two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Vickie Egbert, of St. Marys, and Larry and Kimberle Egbert, of Hollywood, Maryland; and a daughter, Myra Egbert, of Findlay. They have five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Lawrence and Marlene both retired from Crown Equipment Corp. They attend Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in New Bremen.
