MCCARTYVILLE — Norma and Elmer Meyer, of McCartyville, will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary at a Mass at 5 p.m., Oct. 10, 2015, in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in McCartyville, and a dinner with family.

Elmer and the former Norma Brunswick were married Oct. 11, 1950, in the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Egypt. The day comprised a Mass at 8:30 a.m.; breakfast at the bride’s home for the wedding party; photos in Celina; lunch at the Knights of Columbus hall, then known as the Wonder Bar, in Minster; music throughout the afternoon; dinner and dancing in the evening.

The Meyers are the parents of three sons and three daughters-in-law, Jerry and Margo Meyer, of Botkins, Russ and Sandy Meyer, of Dublin, and Dean and Jan Meyer, of Columbus, and two daughters and sons-in-law, Lois and Dale Bertke, of Anna, and Marge and Steven Burlison, of Florida. They have nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
