SIDNEY — Janice and Tim Baumann, of Sidney, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary during the summer while on a family cruise to Nassau and Castaway Cay aboard the Disney Dream.

Tim and the former Janice Klecker were married Oct. 30, 1965, in Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney. The Rev. Jerome Buck performed the ceremony on a beautiful autumn day. It was his first wedding after being ordained a priest. Witnesses were maid of honor Janice (Black) Bingham, bridesmaids Barbara Seigle and Nancy (Brelsford) Deam, best man Jim Baumann, brother of the bridegroom, and groomsmen Bill Paddock and Jim Caven.

Tim is the son of the late Wilma and William Baumann. He has a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Mary Baumann, of Anacortes, Washington.

Janice is the daughter of the late Eileen and Charles Klecker.

The Baumanns have two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Lara Baumann, of Troy, and Eric and Nikki Baumann, of Owenton, Kentucky. They have five grandchildren.

Janice graduated from Bowling Green State University and was an elementary school teacher in the Sidney City Schools. Tim graduated from Marquette University Medical School and practiced emergency mendicine for 41 years in Miami Valley and Wilson Memorial hospitals.

They are members of Holy Angels Catholic Church and enjoy spending time with their family and friends.
