Vehorn marks 90 years

BOTKINS — Donna Vehorn, of Botkins, will celebrate her 90th birthday at an open house, May 1, 2016, from 2 to 4 p.m., in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Botkins.

She requests that gifts be omitted. Cards can be sent to her at P.O. Box 235, Botkins, OH 45306.

Vehorn was born May 2, 1926, in Burkettsville, to Elizabeth (Borgerding) and Anthony Miller. They are both deceased.

She married Herbert Vehorn and he is deceased.

She has five sons and four daughters-in-law, Tom and Kay Vehorn, of Wapakoneta, Larry Vehorn, of Minster, Ed and Lyn Vehorn, of Reno, Nevada, and Ernie and Teri Vehorn, and Fred and Jane Vehorn, all of Botkins; and a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Gary Sweigart, of Lima. She has 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

The Vehorns farmed and she worked for several years in the cafeteria of Botkins High School.

She is a 68-year member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Botkins. She enjoys cooking, gardening, puzzles, card clubs and visiting with family and friends.
