SIDNEY — Robert Henry Hilgefort, of Sidney, will celebrate his 90th birthday at an open house, Sunday, March 19, 2017, from 2 to 4 p.m., in the Walkup Country Club, 1000 state Route 705 W., Fort Loramie.

He requests that gifts be omitted, but he will enjoy receiving cards.

Hilgefort was born, March 21, 1927, to Cecelia and Fred Hilgefort, who are deceased. He married Rita Albers, and she is deceased.

He has three daughters and sons-in-law, Roberta and Erik Hosler, of Gulfport, Mississippi, Margie and Dan Hapner, of Englewood, and Lori and Paul Heins, of Sidney; and a son and daughter-in-law, Kurt and Amy Hilgefort, of Minster. He has 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Hilgefort worked for Larger Brothers Milk Hauling and Shaffer Construction and retired from Wallick Enterprises. He was a carpenter and jack of all trades. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He enjoys woodworking and carpentry.
