FORT LORAMIE — Mary (Pleiman) Schmiesing, of Fort Loramie, will celebrate her 90th birthday, March 18, at an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Walk-up Country Club in Fort Loramie.

Schmiesing was born March 20, 1928, the daughter of Henry and Lena (Gaier) Hilgefort, who are deceased. She married Joseph Pleiman in July 1949. He died in 1976. She married Clete Schmiesing in November 1979. He died in 2010.

She is the mother of two sons and two living daughters-in-law, Ron Pleiman and Mary Lynn Murphy, and Gary and Karen Pleiman, all of Fort Loramie. Another daughter-in-law, Patricia Pleiman, is deceased. She has six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous stepchildren, stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.

Schmiesing is a member of the St. Michael Catholic Church in Fort Loramie. She was a cook at Fort Loramie Schools. She enjoys playing cards and going out to dinner with friends.
