NEW KNOXVILLE — Carrie and Jake Albers, of New Knoxville, have announced the birth of a son, John Douglas Albers, born Feb. 1, 2016, at 11:37 a.m., in the Copeland-Emerson Family Birth Center at Wilson Health in Sidney.

He weighed 8 pounds, 9 ounces, and was 22 1/2 inches long.

His maternal grandparents are Randi and Alan Rinehart, of Wapakoneta. His paternal grandparents are Donna and Doug Albers, of New Bremen.

His great-grandparents are Jeannie and Ted Knoch, and Demetra and George Rinehart, all of Wapakoneta, and Cecilia Albers, of Fort Loramie.

His mother is the former Carrie Rinehart, of Wapakoneta.
