NEW BREMEN — Scott and Lisa Schmiesing, of New Bremen, announce the birth of their son, Daxton Michael Schmiesing, Jan. 24, 2020, at 7:39 a.m. at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney.

He weighed 6 pounds 6 ounces and was 19.75 inches long.

He was welcomed home by older sisters Isla, 3, and Josslyn, 1.

His maternal grandparents are David and Anita Kemper, of Minster. His paternal grandfather is Mike Schmiesing, and his paternal step-grandmother is Cheryl Schmiesing, both of New Bremen. His paternal grandmother is Diane Hirschfield and his paternal step-grandfather is Eric Hirschfield, both of New Bremen.

His great-grandparents are Henrietta Hoying, of McCartyville, Yolanda Schmiesing, of New Bremen, and Betty Meyer, of Newport.

His mother is the former Lisa Kemper, of Minster.
