DUBLIN — Julie and Ray Deel, of Dublin, have announced the birth of a son, Emmett Sterling Deel, born May 2, 2016, at 10:09 a.m., in the Dublin Methodist Hospital.

He weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces, and was 21 inches long.

He was welcomed home by his sister, Ava, 4.

His maternal grandparents are Marcia and Richard Grigg, of Sidney. His paternal grandparents are Pat and Ray Deel, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

His mother is the former Julie Grigg.
