VERSAILLES — Amy and Brian Shappie, of Versailles, have announced the birth of a daughter, Maggie Marie Shappie, born January 6, 2017, at 2:23 p.m., in the Copeland-Emerson Family Birth Center at Wilson Health in Sidney.

She weighed 5 pounds, 12 ounces, and was 19 3/4 inches long.

She was welcomed home by her brother, Henry, 2.

Her maternal grandparents are Therese and Mark Borchers, of Versailles. Her paternal grandparents are Janice Shappie and John Kaeck, of Piqua, and the late Scott Shappie.

Her great-grandmother is Mary Lou Eilerman, of North Star.

Her mother is the former Amy Borchers, of Versailles.
