SIDNEY — Katie Ernst and Luke Smith, of Sidney, have announced the birth of a daughter, McKinley Elaine Smith, born Jan. 26, 2017, at 2:16 a.m., in the Copeland-Emerson Family Birth Center at Wilson Health.

She weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces, and was 21 inches long.

She was welcomed home by her brother, Braden Christopher Ernst, 4.

Her maternal grandparents are Mary and Jay Ernst. Her paternal grandparents are Marion Smith and the late Suzie McEvoy.

Her great-grandparents are Charles Gregorvich, of St. Marys, and Jeannette Albers, of Celina.

Her mother is originally from Fort Loramie.
