SILVER SPRING, Md. — Sarah Schmidt and Collin Palmer, of Silver Spring, Maryland, have announced the birth of a daughter, Salara Kay Schmidt-Palmer, born Aug. 21, 2015, at 8:10 a.m., in the Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C.

She weighed 6 pounds, 1 ounce, and was 19 inches long.

She was welcomed home by her brother, Cole Palmer, 22.

Her maternal grandparents are Cindy Schmidt, of Columbus, and Darlene and John Schmidt, of Mansfield. Her paternal grandparents are Denise and Jonathan Palmer, of Sidney.

Her great-grandparents are Francis Schmidt, of Mansfield, Helen and Roger Mawer, of Harpster, Audrey Coppler, of Upper Sandusky, Phyllis and Richard Zimpher, of Sidney, and Janis and Stanley Palmer, of Greenville.
