PIQUA — Brittany and Austin Palmer, of Piqua, have announced the birth of a son, Owen Daniel Palmer, born Oct. 15, 2015, at 1:45 p.m., in the Copeland-Emerson Family Birth Center at Wilson Health in Sidney.

He weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces, and was 19 1/2 inches long.

He was welcomed home by his sister, Audrey Palmer, 2.

His maternal grandparents are Kay and Glenn Wheat, of Piqua. His paternal grandparents are Carol and Dave Palmer, of Piqua.

His great-grandparents are Mary and Floyd Spurgeon, of Bradford; Donna and Russ Palmer, of Lima; and Jan and John Crosina, of Elida.

His mother is the former Brittany Wheat, of Piqua.
