BOTKINS — Ashley Nicole Adams, of Botkins, and Zachary Paul Bemus, of Sidney, were united in marriage, Sept. 26, 2015, at 3:30 p.m., in the Sidney First United Methodist Church.
The bride is the daughter of Kelly Adams-Haught and Matthew Haught, of Botkins. She is the granddaughter of Anna and Alan Tully, of Houston, Texas, Fawn and Michael Adams, of Pinegrove, West Virginia, and Jessie Haught, of New Matamoras.
The bridegroom is the son of Tammy and David Bemus, of Sidney. His grandparents are Judy and Karl Bemus, of Sidney, and Helen and Paul Pulfer, of Anna.
The Rev. Dave Porath performed the ceremony.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a semi-fit-and-flare dress with off-the-shoulder, cap sleeves and a V-shaped back covered in Alencon lace that cascaded with scalloped details. It featured a crystal-beaded belt. Her veil was made by her grandmother. It was modeled after a 1930s Juliette cap veil of just-below-fingertip length and was trimmed in scalloped lace and adorned with crystal brooches on each side. She carried a bouquet by Jennys Design of Botkins of wild flowers, daisies, roses, dahlias, purple cabbage and peacock feathers.
Madison Haught served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Megan Butz, Anna Carr and Eden Armstrong. Aliyah Carr and Alivia Brown were flower girls.
Nathan Bemus served as best man. Groomsmen were John-Michael Haught, Tyler Brown and Luke Bemus. Lincoln Tennet was the ring bearer. Logan Tennet and Victoria Smedley were program attendants.
A reception at Days Inn of Sidney followed the ceremony. The couple honeymooned in Punta Uva, Costa Rica, and reside in Tipp City.
The bride graduated from Botkins High School in 2010 and from Wright State University in Dayton, where she earned a degree in biology. She is employed by Beau Townsend Nissan in Vandalia as an office clerk.
The bridegroom is a 2011 graduate of Sidney High School. He is employed by Clopay in Troy as an assembler.
