Coyer, Scherer wed

SIDNEY — Sarah D. (Shatto) Coyer and Todd A. Scherer, both of Sidney, were united in marriage, June 8, 2018, at 6:30 p.m., in an outdoor wedding on the family farm in Sidney.

The bride is the daughter of Wendy and Steve Shatto, and Diane Dobras, all of Sidney, and the late Bob Dobras. Her grandparents are the late Marty and Don Shatto.

The bridegroom is the son of Theresa Scherer, of Sidney, and the late Larry Scherer. His grandparents are Don Braun, of Fort Loramie, and the late Virginia Braun.

The Rev. Frank Mustain performed the service.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory-colored, crocheted lace dress and her late grandmother’s pearl earrings and necklace. She carried a bouquet of white roses, sunflowers, white daisies and baby’s breath with pearl accents.

Sarah Newman was the maid of honor. Aubrie Coyer and Kyrsten Coyer, both daughters of the bride, were bridesmaids.

Matt Mihok served as best man. Bryce Ennis, son of the bridegroom, was the groomsman.

The couple honeymooned at Niagara Falls, New York, and reside in Sidney.

The bride graduated from Sidney High School in 1999 and from Apollo School of Practical Nursing in Lima in 2010 with her licensed practical nurse degree. She is employed by Piqua Manor, in Piqua, as a practical nurse.

The bridegroom is a 1999 Houston High School graduate. He is employed by Dollar Tree in Sidney as the assistant manager.
