Schmitmeyer, Stammen exchange vows

ST. HENRY — Mandy Schmitmeyer, of Cranberry Prairie, and Seth Stammen, of Coldwater, were united in marriage at 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 31, 2020, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Cranberry Prairie.

The Rev. Ron Wilker officiated the ceremony.

The bride wore a two-toned high-neck dress with a trumpet skirt and lace overlay with pearl and sequin accents. Her veil was elbow-length with a pearl and sequin outline. Her cascading bouquet was made with Italian ruscus, ivory roses, pompus grass, snap dragons, peach ranunculus, fall greens and sword grass.

Grace Schmitmeyer and Kelly Poling served as maid of honor and matron of honor respectively. Bridesmaids were Christy Broering, Holly Hartke, Erica Stammen, Clair Stammen, Brooke Stammen, Myra Stammen, Colleen Marshal, and Michaela Siefring. Flower girls were Vayda Broering and Elsie Hartke.

Caleb Stammen served as the best man. Groomsmen were Brian Schmitmeyer, Gabe Wenning, Brad Eckstein, Eli Neiport, Alex Schmitmeyer, Aaron Marchal, Aaron Beyke, and Joe Stammen. Ring bearer was William Schmitmeyer.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Bob Schmitmeyer.

The reception was held at Knights of St. Johns Hall in Maria Stein.

Parents of the bride are Bob and Mary Schmitmeyer, of Cranberry Prairie. Grandparents of the bride are Alma Schmitmeyer and the late Ernest Schmitmeyer, of Cranberry Prairie, and Rosemary Heitkamp and the late Norbert Heitkamp, of McCartyville.

Parents of the groom are Dennis and Karen Stammen, of Coldwater. Grandparents of the groom are LaVern and Jean Stammen, of Coldwater, and the late Wilfred and Ruth Wilker, of St. Marys.

The bride is a graduate of Rhodes State College in Lima with an associates degree in Applied Science. She is a dental hygienist at Minster Dental Care in Minster.

The groom is a graduate of The Ohio State University, Lima campus, with a bachelor’s degree in Middle School Education. He is a U.S. Navy Reserves Petty Officer, second class, and works as a fifth grade math teacher at Minster Elementary School in Minster. He is a volunteer EMT with Coldwater EMS.

The couple honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. They will reside in St. Henry.
