Hoskins, Brown exchange vows

SIDNEY — Jessica Marie (Strunk) Hoskins and Roger Osborne Brown Jr., both of Sidney, were united in marriage, April 30, 2016, in the Fraternal Order of Eagles hall in Covington.

The bride is the daughter of Cynthia L. (Koons) Chamberlin, of Sidney. Her grandparents are Helen I. (Hefley) Koons, of Sidney, and the late Robert A. Koons.

The bridegroom is the son of Claire J. (Palmer) Brown, of Sidney, and the late Roger O. Brown Sr. His grandparents are the late Anna E. and Edgar B. Palmer and the late Christeen and Cecil Brown Sr.

Pastor Tom Jones performed the ceremony.

Given in marriage by her uncle, Ronald E. Koons, the bride wore an ivory-colored, strapless, organza gown by Jasmine Couture. It featured a drop waist and a full skirt with a tiffany train. She wore an ivory-colored, elbow-length veil and custom-made Converse Chuck Taylor shoes and carried a bouquet of two dozen red roses tied with ivory-colored ribbon.

Mallory R. Hoskins served as her mother’s maid of honor. The bridegroom’s son, Jarek M. Brown, was the best man.

A reception at the Fraternal Order of Eagles hall in Covington followed the ceremony.

The couple honeymooned in Hawaii and reside in Sidney.

The bride graduated from Sidney High School in 2000. She is employed by Rolling Hills Skate and by Family Video in Sidney as a customer service associate.

The bridegroom is a 1998 graduate of the Upper Valley Joint Vocational School in Piqua. He is employed by Auto Technic America in East Liberty as a crash simulator technician.
