SIDNEY — Haley Renee Vondenhuevel and Michael William Donald Hageman, both of Sidney, were united in marriage, Sept. 12, 2015, at 4:30 p.m., in the New Hope Methodist Church in Sidney.
The bride is the daughter of Christina and Luke Vondenhuevel, of Sidney. Her grandparents ae Dick Vondenhuevel, of Sidney, and Polly Cottrel and Becky Puckett, both of Conover.
The bridegroom is the son of Dawn and William Hageman, of Sidney. His grandparents are Betty Hageman, and Ann and Don Shaffer, all of Sidney.
The Rev. Don Burley performed the ceremony. Janice Michael was the organist and Sarah Burley was the wedding director.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a mermaid-style, David Tutera dress with a lace bodice accented in rhinestones, a tulle bottom and long train. Her mid-length veil was tulle, accented with pearls. Her white cowboy boots were covered in white glitter. She carried a bouquet of sunflowers, red gerber daisies and orange circus roses accented with wheat and wrapped with burlap and twine.
Paige Vondenhuevel served as her sister’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Ollivia and Austine Hageman, sisters of the bridegroom. Daisy Vondenhuevel, sister of the bride, was the flower girl.
Chase Wildermuth, cousin of the bridegroom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Garrett Vondenhuevel, brother of the bride, and Tyler Brown. The ring bearer was Chase Vondenhuevel, brother of the bride. Ushers were Clay Wildermuth, cousin of the bridegroom, and Seth Puckett, uncle of the bride.
A reception at the VFW post in Sidney followed the ceremony. The couple honeymooned in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and reside in rural Sidney.
The bride is a 2014 graduate of Fairlawn Local Schools. She is a certified activities director and certified dementia practitioner, employed by Fair Have Shelby County Home in Sidney as the activity director’s assistant.
The bridegroom graduated from Fairlawn Local Schools in 2002. He is a self-employed farmer and truck driver in Sidney.
The couple met in high school.
