JACKSON CENTER —The Jackson Center Fire Department recently honored two retirees during the department meeting in the Backroom Executives Motorcycle Club.

The firemen honored Greg Baker and Bruce Metz.

Baker served 20 years with Maplewood Fire Department before joining the squad in Jackson Center. He retired as deputy chief and a state-certified fire inspector.

Metz served 24 years in the fire service, all in Jackson Center. He retired as captain and a state-certified fire inspector.

Other retired firefighters in attendance were Don Bailey, Rick Sailor, Fred Bodenmiller, Bob Zorn and Paul Shady.
