FORT LORAMIE — The circus is coming to town!

The Fort Loramie Chamber of Commerce will present the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus in two performances, Sunday, May 13, in the Fort Loramie Youth Park at Louis and Lane streets in Fort Loramie.

At 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., the circus will perform 90-minute shows under its old-fashioned big top tent. The public is welcome to watch the tent going up at 9:30 a.m.

The family-friendly show features big cats, unicyclists, dogs, trapeze, the Wheel of Destiny, high wire, contortion and more.

Discounted tickets can be purchased through this afternoon at all locations of Wagner’s IGA, Fort Loramie Hardware, Silver Cross and Meyer’s Garage in Newport. Tickets can also be purchased in advance by phone at 866-244-8676 and online at www.cmcircus.com. Tickets purchased in advance cost $10 for adults, $7 for children 2 to 12 and seniors 65 and older.

Tickets will also be available at the gate for both shows. Those tickets will cost $13 for adults, $8 for children and seniors.
