HOUSTON — During their meeting, Oct. 3, members of the Houston Community Association thanked volunteers who assisted with the organization’s food booth at the Lake Loramie Fall Festival.

The group also announced a need for additional members. The next meeting will be Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. in the Houston Community Center.

Meeting attendees were reminded of the following upcoming events:

• Houston Fire Department’s Fireman’s Breakfast will be Oct. 21 in the fire station along Russia-Houston Road.

• The next Pizza Friday will be Nov. 2. Money raised supports the scholarship fund.

• The annual turkey/ham dinner will be Nov. 11. Students who assist with the event can earn points toward a college scholarship.
