SIDNEY — Christian Academy Schools will host its homecoming event on Saturday, Jan. 26.

The CAS student council has voted to host a “fair” themed homecoming.

Recognition of the homecoming court, along with the crowning of king and queen, will take place during half-time of the homecoming boys’ varsity basketball game on Friday, Jan. 25.

The chapel dress/formal homecoming event on Saturday will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available for $20 pre-sale, and $25 at the door.

The event will include fair food — like funnel cakes and deep fried Oreos — and a coffee bar, along with fair games, competitions, and a prize auction using “fair bucks” earned throughout the night.

The days leading up to homecoming are full of celebration, including “On the Farm” dress-up day, homeroom door decorating, and a pep rally.

Class attendants will include ninth-graders Jake Carter and Mallory Inman; tenth-graders Addison Morris and Cassidy Rhoades; and eleventh-graders Emma Abbott and Alex Brunswick.

Candidates for queen include Aly Baughman, daughter of Robert and Kristina Baughman, and Hannah Heaberlin, daughter of David and Stephannie Heaberlin.

Candidates for king include Charlie Adkins, son of Doug and Deborah Adkins, and Blake Lochard, son of Brad and Angie Lochard.
