RUSSIA — Scott Phlipot was elected chairman, and Dale Goubeaux vice chairman, for Loramie Township at the township reorganizational meeting, Jan. 8, 2019.

Randall Marchal was appointed as zoning officer. Marchal may be reached at 937-827-0262 for zoning issues.

Other appointments included, Ed Lyons to the zoning board, and Stephen York to the zoning appeals board. Terms are for a 5-year period.

Zoning board hearing fees are $350; permits are $75 for the first 300-square-feet, and an additional $10 for every 100-square-feet over the $300 base amount. A pond fee is $100, a permit for remodel/repair of existing structure is $10, and sign permit fee is $75. A driveway culvert permit is required at no charge to applicant.

Randall Marchal was appointed as Houston Cemetery Sexton. There were no changes to cemetery fees.

Trustee Chad Delaet will serve as township representative on the Houston Ambulance Board.

Township meetings will continue at Russia Fire House, on the second Tuesday of the month, at 7:30 p.m.
