BOTKINS — Three Botkins FFA teams competed at the Mercer County Invitational on Saturday, March 16, during which member Conner Smock won first place out of 322 individuals within the General Livestock competition.

Overall, the General Livestock team placed third out 61 teams. Along with Smock, Evan Aufderhaar placed 31st within the competition; Lilly Aufderhaar placed 42nd; and Clayton Harshbarger placed 44th.

The Equine teams also competed and placed fourth out of 38 teams. Scoring for the team was Marissa Powell, who placed 15th out 97 individuals; Meg Russell placed 24th; Ellie Hough placed 48th; and Emma Steinke placed 70th.

The Dairy Team placed sixth out 29 teams. Scoring for the team was Brady McCumons, who placed sixth out 128 individuals; Madelyn Topp placed 23rd; Kinley Topp placed 44th; and Nathan Guckes placed 49th.
