Botkins native presents at sociological association meeting

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Transylvania University senior sociology/anthropology major Jessi Samuel, of Botkins, presented her senior thesis “Who Volunteers? A Multi-Motivational Concept in Nature” at the annual meeting of the North Central Sociological Association in Cincinnati earlier this month.

Samuel is a graduate of New Knoxville high school.

Transylvania University, located in the heart of downtown Lexington, Kentucky, is ranked in the top 15 percent of the nation’s four-year colleges by The Princeton Review, which cites its community-driven, personalized approach to a liberal arts education through its 46 majors.
