Minster to host ‘A Night in New Orleans’

MINSTER — Minster students will celebrate “A Night in New Orleans” during their Mardi Gras-themed prom event on Saturday, April 27.

The event will be held at the Minster Elementary School and will begin with a meal at 7 p.m., followed by a promenade, which is open to the public, beginning at 8:15. The crowning of king and queen will take place at the end of the promenade, with the dance to follow.

Candidates for queen include Kaitlynn Albers, daughter of Chad and Cathy Albers; Skylar Albers, daughter of Bryan and Darcee Albers; Kaycie Wissman, daughter of Ted and Amy Wissman; Karly Richard, daughter of Tom and Traci Richard; and Taylor Watercutter, daughter of Brian and Laura Watercutter.

Candidates for king include Dawson Oldiges, son of Craig and Dianne Oldiges; Sam Schmiesing, son of John and Jamie Schmiesing; Logan Lazier, son of Amber Sommer and Brad Lazier; Mike Ketner, son of Chris and Leah Ketner; and Owen Dorsten, son of Sean and Sandy Dorsten.
